International Student Ski Day—Mont Ripley Ski Hill
Saturday, January 26, 2013
All international students and their family, I Club and I House members are invited to the International Student Ski Day at Mont Ripley. Equipment rental and ski instructions will be offered at a discounted price. Snacks and hot tea will be provided in a private warming room that has a fireplace (very nice). Hot chocolate, soup, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. can be purchased at the main lodge.
Mont Ripley offers high-quality instruction for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Lessons are important. They teach safety techniques that make skiing and snowboarding more fun! Lessons will be taught at 11:00 am or 1:00 pm. Plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your lesson to pick up your equipment.
Lesson and equipment rental fees are per person:
- $10 for skis or snowboard rental (includes boots and poles)
- $5 for ski or snowboard lesson
- $10 for lift ticket* (non-Michigan Tech student)
*The Michigan Tech "Experience Tech" fee covers the use of Mont Ripley for current MTU students. During the ski season, students will be required to show their student ID at the ticket office to get a daily ticket each time they come to the hill.
Students must complete, print and return the Registration Form* along with payment to the IPS Office by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24. Fees are non-refundable and discounts are only good for the day of the event. The following information must be included for each person you register:
- first and last name
- Michigan Tech e-mail address
- age (if under 18)
- desired ski lesson time (11:00 am or 1:00 pm)
- skiing ability (first time, beginner or experienced)
