International Student Ski Day—Mont Ripley Ski Hill

International Ski Day - Sunday, January 22, 2017

International Programs and Services, Mont Ripley and the Graduate Student Government are hosting an international student ski day at Mont Ripley. Get outdoors and experience the fun of winter at Mont Ripley! International students, their families, I-Club, and I-House members are all invited to join in the winter activity fun! Registration opens on Monday, January 16th.

Mont Ripley offers high-quality instruction for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Lessons are important. They teach safety techniques that make skiing and snowboarding more fun! Ski and snowboard lessons will be taught at 11:00 am or 2:00 pm. Plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your lesson to pick up your equipment.

Lesson and equipment rental fees (per person)

  • $12 skis or snowboard rental (includes boots and poles)
  • $5 ski or snowboard lesson
  • $10 snow tubing - includes lift ticket fee 
  • $11 for lift ticket* (non-Michigan Tech student)
    *The Michigan Tech "Experience Tech" fee covers the use of Mont Ripley for current Michigan Tech students. During the ski season, students will be required to show their student ID at the ticket office to get a daily ticket each time they come to the hill.

Please Note: If renting equipment, you MUST stop by the International Programs and Services office (200 Admin. Bldg.) to fill out the rental agreement.

International Ski Day registration opens on Monday, January 16th. Fees are non-refundable and discounts are only good for the day of the event.

Need a ride? 

Transportation will be provided to and from the ski hill between 9:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pick up will be at the Michigan Tech MUB bus stop. If you are taking a ski or snowboard lesson, you must arrive at the ski hill at least 45 minutes prior to your lesson.

NOTE: the ski hill will be open to the general public on January 22nd, and rental reservations are limited. Please arrive early to guarantee your rental. Register at International Programs and Services only if you need to rent equipment and/or sign-up for a lesson at a discounted price.
