Food Pantry

The Husky FAN Pantry is located on the first floor of Fisher Hall. You can find us in the space formerly known as the Aftermath Cafe.

Emergency Meal Packs

If you need food now, please stop by Public Safety and Police Services (206 MacInnes Drive across, opposite Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity) and request a meal pack. All requests are kept anonymous. Packs are small enough to fit in your backpack for privacy. Public Safety is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If it is after normal business hours, just pick up the telephone in the yellow box outside of the building to be immediately connected to someone inside.

Brown Bag Lunch Vouchers

Husky FAN is collaborating with Dining Services and the Graduate Student Government to facilitate brown bag lunch voucher program. Students can visit the Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success, Student Leadership and Involvement, Career Services, Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Counseling Services, Academic and Community Conduct, Housing and Residential Life or the Graduate School to ask for a voucher. A voucher is good for a turkey or cheese sandwich, piece of fruit, carton of milk and potato chips at the North Coast Grill and Deli located in the Memorial Union Building. Students just need to present the voucher to staff at any of registers to receive their lunch.

Meal Swipes

Dining Services is partnering with Husky FAN to make these meal credits available to feed those in need. Unused swipes donated by Dining Services are transferred to the cards of students going hungry, to be used as usual at any Michigan Tech dining hall.

Meal swipes may be requested through MyMichiganTech. Under the current Students tab and Quick Links there is a link for Husky FAN. Starting in spring 2019, in order to serve as many students as possible,  5 meal swipes/week with a 15/semester maximum may be requested per student. Students may use one meal swipe per day and cannot request more swipes all current meals on the student's card have been used. The meal swipes are valid for 14 days upon receiving them and if not used within that time are returned to the queue for other students to request.

If you would like to check how many meal swipes you have, you may do so by logging into the Michigan Tech Card Services Center.
