Summer Intensive Language Experience for International Students (SMILE)

SMILE provides intensive instruction in English language and American culture, and prepares international students for further course work in Intensive English as a Second Language (IESL), undergraduate, or graduate study. Students receive rigorous classroom and laboratory instruction, and an introduction to local community and culture. All new international students who want to improve their English are encouraged to participate in SMILE before taking courses in the fall.

Apply early—enrollment is limited!

Applicants must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score to be considered.
