Tingting Song

(from China)

IESL graduate, undergraduate student School of Business

My first language is Chinese. When I first came to Michigan Tech, I found the real life immersion in the English language is totally different from my classroom learning in my home country. However, ESL classes helped me get through this period of time and helped me a lot to study in the future academic classes. ESL classes improved my listening ability, writing skills and reading levels. It is important that through the trainings of ESL classes, I have more confidence to communicate with Americans. So I think ESL courses have been very useful for me.
