Applying to Graduate Programs in Rhetoric, Theory and Culture is a multi-step process. Please note carefully which documents are to be sent to the Graduate School Office, and which documents are to be sent to the RTC Program.

Application Deadline

In order to receive full consideration for Departmental financial assistance beginning the following Fall semester, you must complete the application process by January 15th. Applications may be considered after the January 15th deadline, though financial support will be awarded based on limited availability. To determine the availability of funding after the deadline, contact Director of Graduate Studies Patricia Sotirin.

Item 1A Michigan Tech Graduate School Application
Item 2Three letters of recommendation from people knowledgeable about your academic abilities. We prefer that most of your letters of recommendation come from faculty members with whom you have studied.
Item 3Your official transcripts.
Item 4Your Statement of Purpose. (This will be carefully considered by the RTC Graduate Committee.)
Item 5A writing sample that illustrates your work and intellectual interests.
Item 6A curriculum vitae (CV)/Resume
