Benefits Program
Michigan Tech provides insurance benefits pertaining to medical plans, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, life, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment. New employees selected their choices during New Hire Benefits Orientation. The benefit plan year is January 1 through December 31. Each November the University sponsors an open enrollment period, which allows employees to make changes in existing coverage using Banweb.

Little Huskies Child Development Center
Little Huskies Child Development Center, located on Michigan Tech's campus, is licensed for 44 children. Many Michigan Tech employees and students bring their children here for full-time and part-time care. Little Huskies is run by Gretchen's House, Inc.
Use Tech Fit benefits for fitness
Michigan Tech offers many fitness classes as part of our community programs, including classes like aquafit or Zumba. Employees can use Tech Fit benefits toward many fitness classes and health club memberships in the community.
Selecting Benefits Options
New employees meet with Benefits staff to select healthcare and other benefits options. There is also an annual enrollment period every November where current Michigan Tech employees can update or change selections.
Annual Health Expo
The Annual Health Expo is an opportunity for Michigan Tech employees to get to know health and wellness services in the area. The Health Expo typically takes place in the spring.
