Parking near the residence halls is in high demand and limited quantity. Michigan Tech has designated that parking directly adjacent to the residence halls should be used only by the staff for that hall. Students, after registering for residence hall parking, will be assigned a specific lot to park their vehicle.
Lot Assignments
Lot 17 (Upper and Lower Sections)
These lots are assigned to non-first year residents, as available. Students not registered are prohibited from parking in these spaces.
Lots 10, 21 & 24
These lots are available by assignment only via registering for residence hall parking. Students not registered are prohibited from parking in these spaces.
Lots 15E & 15W
These lots are for staff only between the hours of 2 AM and 5 PM. Parking is permitted in these lots any other time.
Lots 8, 9 & 14 (On Weekends)
Reserved for guests attending activities / events at the Walker Arts / Rozsa Center.
Special Circumstances
Other parking circumstances have warranted separate rules outside of the specific assignments above. If you do not find an answer to your situation, please contact your student hall MA with any questions you may have.
Guests of Residence Hall Occupants
Prior to your guest arriving, you may obtain a free Visitor Parking Permit from the Wadsworth reception desk. Hang it on the rear-view mirror of the visitor's vehicle when they arrive. This will allow your guest to park in Lot 26.
Loading / Unloading Your Vehicle
Passes may be obtained from the Facilities Office in DHH or the Wadsworth reception desk. This free 1/2 hour permit will allow you to park in a designated spot in the Staff Lot 15E or 15W, anytime for a designated 1/2 hour duration. Parking is prohibited in loading zones and reserved parking spots.
