Join Dr. Lorelle Meadows, Dean of the Pavlis Honors College, for an interactive discussion of how to find and approach a faculty member for a research position. In addition, learn about paid research internship opportunities at Michigan Tech and beyond.

Having trouble deciding when you need to cite a source? Not quite sure whether you should quote that paper you're reading or summarize it? Join Jenn Sams for a library workshop on citing your sources and how to avoid plagiarism.

Literature: Finding it and Reading it

Lauren Movlai will lead an interactive discussion on identifying excellent resources.  This will be followed by a graduate student panel sharing their experiences and recommendations for how to approach finding and reading journal articles.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Workshop

SURF is a research fellowship program that offers undergraduate students a $4000 stipend to work for 10 weeks on research on campus in the summer. Applications are open to all Tech undergraduates who have at least one semester remaining after the summer. This workshop will be led by Will Cantrell.
