GFC Recommendations—Resolution on Graduate Student GPA
At MTU, in order to maintain consistency, the following policy is the minimum requirement for all types of financial aid; however, there may be some types of aid with more stringent requirements. See Appendix C for a complete description of the Satisfactory Progress Policy.
Every graduate student must maintain, at the end of each term, a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
Substitute for the second paragraph:
Every graduate student is required to maintain, at the end of each term, a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0. Failure to do so will result in the student being placed on academic probation and may result in the loss of funding.
Graduate students must meet with their graduate program director as soon as possible after receiving notification of probation to plan a course of action for resolving the situation.
