Volleyball Giving Priorities
Volleyball Tournament Trip
This year, to open the 2018-19 season, the team plans to attend a tournament at the University of Alaska Anchorage, August 20-26. The team will play four matches over two days to begin the season.
We believe this is a great opportunity for our students to participate in a tournament against a balanced field of teams and explore a unique part of the United States.
To make the trip a reality for our team, we need your help.
Support the volleyball team and help us to raise $8,000 to pay for airline tickets for 15 players and staff, hotel, ground transportation, meals, baggage, and team activity fees.
New donors will have their name(s) added to the Michigan Tech volleyball wall of fame donor board at the Student Development Complex.
Unrestricted operating funds for Volleyball where the needs are greatest, including equipment and domestic and international trips.
Renovate Locker Room
The Women’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams share a locker room, the only sports teams required do that. Space is at a premium at the end of the volleyball season and the beginning of basketball season. Creating a designated locker room for each sport will enhance recruitment and improve the student-athlete experience.

Current Major Gift Needs
Head Coach Endowment Fund
A gift of $1 million establishes an endowment to supplement and/or cover the coach’s salary, to provide stability for the coaching position, and to enable the University to recruit and retain the very best coach.
Program Endowment for Equipment
Your gift of $100,000 creates a sustainable funding source of annual income that may be used to purchase new equipment and/or replace equipment that has exceeded its useful life. This annual income also could be saved over a few years to fund a major equipment investment.
