After completing his BS in Geological Engineering the fall of 1974, Tom spent the next seven years completing assignments in both engineering and geology for Shell Oil Company before moving on to Petro-Lewis in 1981. Between 1984 and 1993 he decided to pursue opportunities with smaller independent E&P companies, including Berexco and Hillman-Simon Oil Company. In 1993 he made his final move to Apache Corporation where he has held a number of positions; some of these include Region Exploration Manager, Region Vice President, Vice President and General Manager of Apache’s Egypt Companies, and Executive Vice President – International in Houston. In 2014 he was named Chief Operating Officer – International. As COO – International, Tom is responsible for all E&P activities outside and onshore North America.
Tom is a member of AAPG, a Certified Petroleum Geologist, and a retired Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma. He has also served on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Independent Producers Association, American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, and Community Services Association of Cairo.
