Otter River Cabin
Log Cabin in the Heart of the Wilderness
A retreat in the heart of the wilderness, the Otter River log cabin provides a relaxing environment for students to explore the area’s natural resources, make friends, or focus on studying.
The Michigan Tech student chapter of the Society of American Foresters maintains the cabin for use by its members and other interested people.
Donated to Michigan Tech by the Fisheries Division of the Michigan Department of Conservation in 1954, this cabin was originally part of a grayling fish hatchery located on the Otter River in Houghton County.
