Criteria: Merit based scholarship awarded to new incoming first year undergraduate students who are Michigan Residents. Competitively awarded based on a combination of your high school academic record including ACT or SAT scores, cumulative GPA, and class rank (if available).
How to Apply: Students who have applied and been accepted for admission are automatically considered for this award.
Value: variable from $1,500 to $4,500 based on academic record.

Renewal Criteria: Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 at the end of each spring semester. Continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment (12 credits or more) and acceptable social behavior must also be maintained. Recipients are required to live in the University's residence halls for the first and second academic years to maintain this scholarship. Students are eligible for the award for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study. Students graduating from high schools within Houghton, Keweenaw, and Baraga counties (and have commuter status) are exempt.
