National Scholars Program (NSP)

Criteria: Merit-based scholarship awarded to non-Michigan residents of the US and Canadian residents.

Estimate your scholarship

Transfer students: must transfer from a post-secondary institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 (4.00 scale) based on full-time enrollment for at least two semesters.

Value: New first-year students: $7,000 to $12,000 - Transfer students: $6,000.

Renewal Criteria: Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 at the end of each spring semester. Continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment and acceptable social behavior must also be maintained.

Exclusion: Students eligible for Institutional general fund awards such as the Alumni Legacy Award or Military Family Education Award are not eligible for NSP.  They are, however, eligible for need based aid and/or private scholarship funds.
