Criteria: Merit and need based scholarship awarded to new incoming first-year undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
How to apply: Students must apply and be accepted for admissions. Applicants must have taken the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and list Michigan Tech as their first choice university with the National Merit Corporation.
Value: variable from $1,000 to $2,000 depending on financial need as determined by the annual FAFSA results. Student must meet National Merit's renewable criteria to continue receiving the award.
