Shea McGrew is Michigan Technological University’s vice president for advancement, overseeing the divisions of alumni relations, marketing and communications, and advancement, and serving as president of the University’s separate foundation, the Michigan Tech Fund. McGrew leads the University’s fund-raising efforts and is currently spearheading a robust $200 million national campaign.
McGrew came to Michigan Tech in 2004 with twenty-three years of higher education experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, alumni relations, and special events. Previously, he served as vice president for university relations at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He also served as director of development and major gifts for the University of Cincinnati Foundation, which received the 1996 CASE Circle of Excellence Award for Fundraising Improvement under his direction.
McGrew earned his Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration at Ohio State University and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Marietta College.
