Who can utilize the Office of Institutional Equity and Inclusion?

The office of  Institutional Equity and Inclusion at Michigan Technological University is responsible for the implementation of the University's Equal Opportunity, Discrimination/Harassment Policy. Institutional Equity and Inclusion follows the procedures under the Discrimination/Harassment Complaint Process to ensure that employees, students, and visitors are not discriminated against in employment, educational programs and activities on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, height, weight, genetic information, or marital status, disability, or veteran status.

To that end, Institutional Equity and Inclusion may be utilized by faculty, staff, students or visitors alike.


Who can file a complaint?

Any member of the campus community can file a complaint with Institutional Equity and Inclusion. This includes faculty, staff, students or visitors.


Does Institutional Equity and Inclusion advocate for one side or another?

No. Institutional Equity and Inclusion implements its policies in a neutral fashion.
