Faculty position in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Michigan Technological University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications from exceptional candidates at all levels for one or more faculty positions in electrical or computer engineering to begin August 2013. The Department seeks forward-looking individuals who will develop vigorous research and graduate education programs, and who are skilled at translating new and exciting discoveries into effective undergraduate teaching. A PhD in electrical or computer engineering or a related field is required. Interest areas include but are not limited to:
- Real-time information processing
- Wireless networks and network security
- Power systems and smart grid technologies
- Power electronics and microgrids

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Real-time Convex Optimization
The Center for Computer Systems Research at Michigan Technological University was established in August 2011 to provide leadership in high-performance real-time computing as a strategic resource for scientific inquiry and industry development. Our mission is to advance science and technology, and develop leading-edge applications through high-performance real-time computing and computational science. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to work independently and yet is a good team player, possesses excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills, and good technical writing and presentation skills. The selected candidate will have opportunities to interact and work closely with collaborators at Michigan Tech and other research institutions and universities.
