Biography

Donald J. Secor is an instructor in electrical engineering at Michigan Tech. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1963 and his MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1964. He also holds a Candidate in Philosophy (Mathematics) degree from UCLA. Secor participated in digital–communication-system design at both Bell Labs and JPL (SSB-FM). He then spent thirty years as a systems engineer for communication systems at TRW. Most of his time was spent converting analog systems to digital or designing digital radios (Digital Signal Processing-based ). Secor was active on the External Advisory Committee at Michigan Tech while at TRW. His main areas of interest are DSP algorithms and communications systems. He also supports Senior Design projects with industrial companies such at Bechtel and Lincoln Labs.
