Autumn Says . . .

Why did you choose Michigan Tech?
I like the atmosphere, especially the small classes and the great labs in the biology department.

How would you describe your experience at Tech so far?
Tech is one of the most people-friendly campuses I’ve been to. It’s very accepting of all types of people, and it’s not an environment where you’re pressured to be like everyone else.

How would you describe your participation in CDI student organizations?
The Women’s Leadership Council is an organization that’s specifically for women, so it’s a place where women can come together and meet each other. Being a part of it is also a way to showcase the involvement of women on campus.

Why do you come to CDI?
CDI is a good place to make friends and meet people of all types. I like that you can be whatever you want; you don’t have to hide who you are because you know you won’t be judged.

What would you say to a prospective student who is thinking about coming to Tech?
Coming to Tech is an experience, but only if you take advantage of the opportunities to get involved on campus and in the local community. Also, being involved makes being in such a remote area much more enjoyable.
