Programs for Students

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) provides cultural programming that benefits all students, staff, and faculty, as well as the local community. CDI programs are designed to highlight the history, struggles, and accomplishments of underrepresented communities and to support the retention of these students at Michigan Tech.

Outreach

Michigan Tech is committed to providing opportunities that will help recruit and retain underrepresented students. Outreach programs for students of color (African American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American), GLBTQ students, and women are coordinated through the CDI.

CDI is a place where students can hang out, meet new friends, attend community events, and find helpful resources. Our staff actively engages the intellectual, social, and professional growth of underrepresented students by providing a wide range of support services in three areas of outreach:
