Lavender Graduation

Celebrated annually at the end of the spring semester, Lavender Graduation is a ceremony to showcase the contributions and achievements of Michigan Tech’s outgoing class of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (GLBTQ) students.

The celebration brings together a diverse community of students to highlight the impact of their presence on the campus and to allow the University to officially recognize them for their engagement and leadership. All GLBTQ graduates receive a Lavender Graduation certificate and a rainbow tassel to wear on their caps at Commencement.
