About C-Cubed Luncheons

During the Spring 2014 semester, a group of faculty, staff, and administrators worked together to invent the C-Cubed Lunches—the three "C’s" standing for Conversation, Community, Collegiality.  We wanted a chance to meet and get to know our colleagues in an easy, enjoyable fashion.  We wanted a quiet space for conversation; we wanted to include folks who prefer to bring their lunch to campus; and we wanted to be inclusive of vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free eaters.

The C-Cubed Lunches are held Thursdays and Fridays throughout the school year from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There are no presentations, no agenda.  All employees, along with their guests, are invited.

The C-Cubed lunch menus are overseen by executive chef Eric Karvonen, and he and his team bring their creativity and culinary skills to the task.  The lunches are held in the Alumni Lounge, a space with lots of windows and a north view.

Lunch is $10. Cash, credit cards, and C-Cubed gift certificates (available in the Memorial Union office) are accepted. Attendees may bring their own lunch instead of purchasing the buffet. Coffee, tea, fruit-infused water, cookies and fruit are available free for all. All items on the buffet are labeled if they are vegetarian, vegan or gluten free.
