Michigan Tech Dining Services strives to provide safe, nutritious meals. We recommend that our students and guests with food allergies meet with the hall Dining Services Manager for assistance in making healthy choices in the Dining Halls.
Each hall has gluten free cereal, bakery and snacks available along with our core menu offerings. Wadsworth Hall has a dedicated gluten free pantry equipped with a toaster, microwave, Panini grill, toaster oven and electric fry pan for gluten free diners. We are happy to stock recommended grocery items and to prepare special pre-ordered meals.
Our on-going mission is to provide as many options as possible for students and guests with food allergies, however, we may require a letter from your doctor detailing safe foods and preparations. While Michigan Tech takes great care in keeping some of our products gluten free, they are prepared in a common kitchen which is not a gluten free environment.
Michigan Tech Dining Services is in the process of becoming a Gluten-Free Resource Education Awareness Training (GREAT) Kitchen certified by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.
