Faculty Resources
From the Provost
Dr. Max Seel
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Academic integrity is at the core of the academic enterprise. It lays the foundation for responsible conduct in the classroom and in research. It seems that we are confronted daily by stories of researchers whose practices lack integrity, and this calls into question not only the results of our research, but the integrity of our universities as a whole.
At Michigan Tech, we expect our faculty and students to adhere to high standards of academic integrity and apply these ethical standards to their current and future careers and professions. It is important that our students understand why we value academic integrity and honesty, and that we have policies in place to protect it. Please take a minute to review our academic integrity policy, discuss it with your students, and reference it on your course syllabi.
