Spring Commencement 2007

Coming to the End

It's that time of year, when everyone is working and studying hard on final projects and exams. Michigan Tech's campus is preparing to say goodbye to yet another school year and for many they are saying goodbye to the campus as they move on to bigger things. I won't be graduating until next year, but I know of so many friends who will be. It's hard to think of another year gone by, because it has so quickly. I'm excited, but at the same time I'm going to miss my friends that are graduating, a lot!

Graduation will officially take place on Saturday, May 3 in the John MacInnes Ice Arena at 10:30 a.m. The Commencement website mentions events and information to know about graduation. Many of my close friends are super excited about graduation and can't wait to start their lives in the "real" world. I wish everyone graduating the best of luck with their futures and hope that many will come back to visit from time to time!

Just so everyone that enjoys reading my articles each week knows, I will continue to write more articles over the summer! Each article will focus more on the aspects of campus life, organizations, etc (maybe local summer Houghton events) versus the day-to-day aspects of campus life that takes place during the school year. I will be staying up in Houghton this summer again and am looking forward to it. Summer in the Upper Peninsula makes living here even more enjoyable in my eyes than winter does.

If there are any suggestions about what topics I should cover this summer, please send emails to my personal email address. As always, any questions or suggestions are welcomed and I highly encourage it, because I love getting feedback. I will be starting my summer articles two weeks from now, so there will be no article for next week.

Congratulations to everyone on another school year done and those who are experiencing the joy of graduation this upcoming weekend!

Until next week,

Katie
