Undergraduate Expo & Spring Fling Have Arrived!
The real question on every Michigan Tech student's mind is: has spring really come? For most, the snowstorm we received last week really has people thinking that the season of spring has yet to come. However, I have reason to hope! This week's weather shows that the temperatures will get better, as in upper 40s and low 50s! I'll take that over snow any day! This week's article is going to highlight two great events: The Undergraduate Expo and the MUB Board's Spring Fling.
The Undergraduate Expo will be held on Thursday, April 17 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Union Building. This event is a great time for all students on campus who have been working diligently on different research, enterprise, or senior design projects to showcase their work. People from the campus, community, and industry are invited to visit to view and hear about these projects. The outstanding posters and presentations get awarded by judges for different categories. Check out the 2008 Undergraduate Expo website to see more information about this event. I know that me and several of my fellow classmates will be there showing the poster we made for a research project we did this semester. Best of luck to everyone involved in the event!
Every year around this time the MUB Board works hard to put on the Spring Fling events. Last year was awesome, with MTU Idol, free-style motocross, food, music, and fantastically warm weather. The Spring Fling website has a video highlighting some of last years events. This year will have some great activities going on as well, including: Surf Simulator, Dunk Tank, Bouncy Boxing, Guitar Hero, Safari Challenge Obstacle Course, free food, a raffle, and MTU Idol. Hopefully the weather will choose to cooperate to make the day lots of fun for students! Events start taking place at 12:00 p.m. and go until 5:00 p.m. located all over campus. I hope everyone gets a little bit of time to enjoy the festivities that will be taking place. I'm praying and keeping my fingers crossed that the sun sticks around, because I'm ready to say goodbye to the snowy weather.

Suggestions for future articles are also welcomed, especially since the summer months will be coming up soon, and I want to cater those articles to information that you as parents would like to know.
Until next week (think Spring everyone!),
