If parents have a compelling concern for the health and well-being of their son or daughter they should contact the Michigan Tech Department of Public Safety and Police Services who will conduct a health and well-being check.
If parents have not heard from their son/daughter for an extended period of time they should contact the Dean of Students Office at 906-487-2212 so that the appropriate university staff can attempt to locate the student.
