Donald S. Williams, LMSW has been the Director of the Michigan Tech Counseling and Wellness Services for 14 years and at Michigan Technological University for 16 years. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan in clinical social work and has a Bachelor's degree in social work from Grand Valley State University. He has extensive experience in community mental health as well as experience working in several psychiatric hospitals. His teaching experience includes adjunct and field supervision for Lake Superior State University, Michigan State University and Grand Valley State University. He is involved with a number of campus and community organizations and enjoys hunting, fishing, reading, hiking and camping.

Lisa Meyer, FNP, MSN is the family nurse practitioner for Counseling and Wellness Services. Lisa meets with students who are interested in discussing or obtaining prescription medications, as well as with students interested in discussing other wellness or health-related concerns. Lisa earned her BS in Nursing at Northern Michigan University and her MS in Nursing, as well as her Family Nurse Practitioner credentials at the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire. A native of Redridge, Lisa attended Michigan Tech for two years prior to transferring to NMU. Lisa has worked in the past as a Registered Nurse and currently works as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice and in the Emergency Department at Portage Health.

Crystal Primeau, LLP completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Prior to coming to Michigan Tech, Crystal was co-owner of a mental health agency specializing in psychological assessment and treatment of adolescents and children. She also taught Philosophy at Appalachian State University and was Coordinator of the ASU Psychology Clinic. She is originally from Houghton and enjoys spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, and snowboarding.

Nancy Taglione, LMSW, ACSW, completed her Master of Social Work degree at Michigan State University. Nancy has worked with adults, children, families and couples in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. Nancy's areas include working with trauma survivors, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depression, and self esteem issues as well as EMDR and clinical hypnosis.
Psychiatric Social Worker

Lawrence A. Wall, DCSW is one of the counselors available at Counseling and Wellness Services. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Larry is originally from Ann Arbor. Prior to coming on board at Counseling Services he worked in the metro Detroit area as a psychiatric social work supervisor and crisis team coordinator in a variety of hospital inpatient, emergency room and private practice settings. In addition to performing the full spectrum of services provided by Counseling and Wellness Services staff, Larry maintains a professional interest in flow-state psychology, stress and anxiety management and conflict mediation. Larry is certified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and is also certified in multicultural counseling. Larry is a long-time instructor of taijiquan (tai chi) and Systema (Russian martial art). Larry additionally practices and teaches both disciplines' alternative health methods.
