Mail and Packages

A great way to let your student know you are thinking about them is to send mail or a care package. There are several care package options offered through the University and local vendors, but packing a personalized box with your student’s favorite snacks and treats is very thoughtful, too.

If your student will celebrate a birthday or another special occasion while at Michigan Tech, you can order a cake and have it delivered directly to them through the Michigan Tech Student Foundation ABC (A Birthday Cake) Program. This student organization also offers Final Exam Week Survival Kits, which contain snacks and a mug that students can have filled for free at several on-campus dining locations.

Michigan Tech Dining Services offers custom baked goods and catered meals on campus for special occasions and celebrations. Catering menus are available online and feature everything from full meals and pizza to cookies and cakes. Several area businesses can customize cakes, meals, gifts, or care packages for your student and provide delivery to most on-campus and off-campus addresses, usually for a small fee.

Located near campus in the Pearl Street Mall, Jim’s Foodmart offers a variety of special student packages and can customize meals and gifts.
