Family Weekend, a Michigan Tech tradition held each fall in October, allows parents, guardians, and family members the opportunity to visit with their Tech student. During Family Weekend, families can explore campus and the surrounding area, enjoy activities sponsored by Michigan Tech on and off campus, and spend quality time together. Family Weekend 2013

Family Weekend offers many fun and exciting activities for your family to experience. From exploring the outdoors, to learning the history of the local area, there is something for every family. If you like to explore, join us for a waterfall hike, take a boat cruise along the Keweenaw Waterway, challenge yourself on the high ropes course, or paddle the Sturgeon River. You may also tour the Quincy Mine, the Quincy Smelter, or the Keweenaw Brewing Company.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Autumn color while taking the chairlift to the top of Mont Ripley or biking the Tech trails. Explore the Seaman Mineral Museum, watch a Michigan Tech athletic event, go bowling or catch a movie on campus. If you like a little competition, join us for the Family Weekend Golf Scramble at Portage Lake. Close your Family Weekend visit with a delicious Sunday brunch.
You must register prior to purchasing tickets for Family Weekend event. The registration confirmation you receive via email will contain a link to purchase event tickets. Please save this email. Changes to your ticket order can be made by visiting the Central Ticket Office website or calling 906-487-2073 – there is no need to re-register to update your ticket quantities.
