Student-Athlete Support
Student athletes lead dual roles on campus and sometimes find it difficult to balances those roles. The Michigan Tech Athletics Department has several resources available to student athletes that can help them learn effective study habits that fit best with their athletic obligations. These programs and resources are supported by Michigan Tech Athletics. Please contact any of the assistant coaching staff for the associated sport for more information or other options that may be available.
Tutoring Student-Athletes
This program is set up to provide academic assistance to any student athletes at Michigan Tech. One-on-one tutors are available to help students with their academic studies. Contact an assistant coach for more information.
Master Student-Athlete Course (EH3000)
This is a course that discusses college life issues in a group setting and teaches students to deal with the stress of being a student and an athlete. The following topics are covered within the course: time management, organization, study skills, and relaxation techniques. CHAMPS/Life Skills Program
Michigan Tech is a participating institution in the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program which provides instructional material and supplemental resources that support a student-athlete's development in five areas: academics, athletics, personal development, career development and community service.
