Creating Your Success (Fall)

Creating Your Success (UN 1010) is a first-year seminar course that provides an introduction to strategies for creating academic, professional, and personal success. The course is required in the fall for all first-year and transfer students (with less than 30 credits) living in a residential learning community.

The course places an emphasis on:

• Individual priorities
• Improving self-management
• Developing critical-thinking skills

Creating your Success (Spring)

Creating Your Success (UN 1010) is a seminar course that provides a framework to assess the strategies that you currently use for creating academic, professional, and personal success. The course is designed to look at ways to improve upon those strategies or adopt new ones all together. This course is required in the spring for all first-year or transfer students (with less than 30 credits) who are on academic probation.

The course places an emphasis on:

• Assessing priorities and improving self- management
• Discovering self-motivation
• Utilizing University resources
• Developing specific, personal academic plans

for first-year students and transfer students with fewer that 30 credits
