The Outstanding Student Teacher award recognizes excellence in student teaching. Each semester, student teaching supervisors (Michigan Tech faculty and staff) nominate a teacher education student based on their performance in the classroom. A committee within the Department of Cognitive and Learning Sciences selects the award recipient (sometimes there is a tie).
