Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Michigan Tech
The Department of Chemistry at Michigan Technological University solicits candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning fall semester, 2013. We seek applicants with research and teaching interests primarily in organic chemistry and related areas such as chemical biology, macromolecular chemistry/nanotechnology.
Candidates are expected to establish an externally funded, nationally recognized research program and to be committed to excellence in both undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) education.
A Ph.D. degree in a chemical science with an emphasis on organic chemistry is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Please submit a brief cover letter describing both general research interests (and how they fit with existing Michigan Tech programs) and teaching interests (and experience). - Description of future research plans,
- Estimate of lab start-up costs with a general list of equipment needed,
- List of major research instrumentation essential to accomplishing your research goals, and
