Support of Teaching and Research

The Department of Chemical Engineering operates a fully equipped shop facility staffed by two full-time technicians, who are experienced in the design, fabrication, and repair of a wide variety of machines, devices, fixtures, and equipment. The machine shop supports the teaching and research activities of the department, providing in-house electrical, electronic, machining, welding, sheet-metal, and wood/plastic services.
