Biography

Dr. Hutzler's research interests include groundwater contaminant transport, biological and physical processes for aquifer and soil restoration, risk assessments, management of household wastewaters, hazardous waste management, and water distribution system analysis. Research projects Dr. Hutzler has been involved in include "Field-Scale Model for Air Sparging Performance Assessment and Design," "Design Manual for Extraction of NAPL from Unconsolidated Aquifers," and "Reuse of Granular and Fine Particulate Industrial and Post Consumer Residuals." Dr. Hutzler has published in journals such as ASCE Journal of Environmental Engineering, the Journal Air and Waste Management Association, and Water Resources Research.
