Philanthropy Phridays
On one Friday each semester, the Student Philanthropy Council hosts Philanthropy Phridays. This event aims to educate students about how private gifts impact the Michigan Tech experience.
From chalking campus’s sidewalks in the fall to displaying posters and table tents in the spring, students gain both a philanthropic spirit and knowledge about the many traditions at Michigan Tech that would not be possible without private support.
With an ever-increasing number of students interested in learning about Michigan Tech’s philanthropic culture, these events are a great way to reach out to future philanthropists—Michigan Tech students themselves!
Tech Traditions
Four times each year, the Student Philanthropy Council and the Student Development Officers team up to provide students the opportunity to test their Tech knowledge—and even win prizes—during an interactive trivia game at some of Tech’s holidays: K-Day, Student Involvement Fair, Winter Carnival, and Spring Fling. Look for our booth at any of these Tech traditions to learn more about how your high quality of education is made possible by gifts from alumni, friends, and corporations.
