A Unique Way to Give

And Support Michigan Tech's Mission

Gifts of books, works of art, or other tangible personal property can represent significant acquisitions or additions to existing Michigan Tech collections.

For you to receive the most favorable tax treatment for your gift of personal property, the items must be related to the University's mission. Generally, this means items that can be used to further the University's teaching, research, and service activities, rather than items that must be sold after they are donated.

Contact the Office of Gift Planning for more information.

Benefits of Gifts of Personal Property

  • Preserve your valuable collection while supporting Michigan Tech's mission
  • Charitable deduction to reduce the net cost of your gift
