Student Organizations
Student organizations provide hands-on, real world experiences that provide value to students. Below you will find the student groups that are directly related to the School of Business and Economics. American Marketing Association
This professional organization student chapter serves as a resource for marketing on the Michigan Tech campus; a clearinghouse for student marketing activities on and off campus, and coordinates marketing activities to use the student and financial resources at Michigan Tech.
Applied Portfolio Management Program
The Applied Portfolio Management Program provides the opportunity for senior students to manage an investment portfolio comprised of funds provided by the Michigan Tech Endowment fund as well as other generous donors.
Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP)
AITP offers opportunities for Information Technology (IT) leadership and education through partnerships with industry, government, and academia. AITP provides quality IT related education, information on relevant IT issues and forums for networking with experienced peers and other IT professionals.
Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society for students enrolled in collegiate business and management programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
DECA
DECA is an organization that creates an atmosphere for students to use their business skills in a competitive environment. Collegiate DECA is a student-driven organization that values competence, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
Entrepreneurs Club
The Entrepreneurs Club develops knowledge for students, faculty, and local community members interested in inventions, patents, commercialization, developing business plans, and entrepreneurship.
Finance Club
The Finance Club at Michigan Tech promotes interest and knowledge in the field of Finance. The objectives of the Club are to increase interest in finance among Michigan Tech business students by relating the experiences of students, professors and alumni and to provide business students a comprehensive understanding of the finance industry.
IT Oxygen Enterprise
IT Oxygen is a student-run enterprise team that focuses on developing information system and information technology solutions. Our areas of expertise include systems and information analysis, software development, database development, and web-based application development.
Kappa Sigma Iota
Kappa Sigma Iota (KSI) is a student organization dedicated to helping support students studying accounting and finance within the School of Business and Economics.
Omicron Delta Epsilon
Omicron Delta Epsilon is an international honor society in economics that recognizes scholastic excellence, the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics, and the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty within colleges and universities. This organization is one of the world's largest academic honor societies.
