Entrepreneurship @ Tech

Entrepreneurship: it’s defined as the act of undertaking innovations or introducing new things. At Michigan Tech—an environment of continuous research, invention, and discovery—that definition takes on even more meaning.

Faculty in the School of Business and Economics don’t just lecture about entrepreneurship—they live it.

  • We have faculty who specialize in entrepreneurship, technology innovation, survey and research techniques, international business, entrepreneurial marketing, innovation management, venture capital financing, leadership, and more.
  • Our faculty rigorously research factors that may impact the entrepreneurial process, constructing contemporary, training-based curriculum to meet the needs of Michigan Tech students.
  • Student entrepreneurship is encouraged and supported through programs such as the Business Development Experience, New Venture and Elevator Pitch Competitions, and Entrepreneurs Club student organization.
