Joseph Giddings, President
Joe Giddings completed his undergrad at Michigan Tech with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. This is his first year in the Tech MBA program and he plans on graduating in August of 2014 with a certificate in Sustainability as well. After graduation he plans on looking for a job in Sustainable Operations out in California.
Binxin Zhang, VP of Communications
Binxin graduated in August 2012 with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She was the President Assistant of Chinese Student and Scholar Association, and the secretary of MTU Badminton Club. With those activity experience, she wants to work in Human Resource Department in the future. Now she joins the MBA program to get an overview about how company works. Also, she's working on a project, designing online learning modules to help engineering students realize and improve their self learning styles and motivation. She has several hobbies such as playing the piano, dancing, and traveling.
Wenjia Fu, VP of Finance
Wenjia comes from the southeast of China. She graduated from Michigan Tech in the fall of 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Mathematical Science. Wenjia is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Michigan Tech and plans to complete in August of 2013. At the same time, she is working as a graduate teaching and research assistant. After completing her MBA, she intends to find an accounting job either in United State or in China to gain work experience and start her career. She is currently serving the MBA Association as VP of Finance.
Yin Yin (Sarah) Tan, GSG Representative
Yin Yin (Sarah) Tan came from Taiwan. She is now working on the MBA program at Michigan Tech. She graduated from National Chung-Cheng University in Taiwan with a masters degree in political science. She holds a government position as a section chief in the information bureau in Taichung County Government in Taiwan. Her job was to cooperate with a variety of media, such as TV stations, radio stations, newspapers, magazines to advertise policies and activities of Taichung County Government. She also supervised in publishing Taichung County Government's bimonthly magazine, "Sunshine Health town." In addition, she was the supervisor and chief organizer of events, activities, and press conferences to promote local industries, tourism, and culture. One of the famous events is the Musical Instruments Festival in Taichung, an annual music festival that promotes local saxophone and percussion industries and draws crowds of over 50,000. Some of her interests include playing piano, saxophone, traveling, reading, social dance, and meditation.
Leandra Dziesinski, Secretary
Lea joins MTU's MBA program with several years of experience in the non-profit and governmental sectors. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Northern Michigan University and is interested in change management and project/operations management. An adventurous mountain biker and skiier, Lea is happy to continue her education in a region that allows for such thrills.
Ye Hu, VP of Social Planning
Ye Hu graduated from the Science of Finance Program at Michigan Technological University. Ye worked Xizi Otis Elevator Co., Ltd. Last year. His position is treasury. His job was to help the company to achieve their objectives by ensuring adequate funding and managing associated risks. As so far, he is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Michigan Tech. Also, he is serving as VP of the Social Planning.
Yu Gu - VP of Professional Development
Yu GU came from China. She is now working on earning her MBA at Michigan Tech and plans to finish in August of 2012. She graduated from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics with one MS in Japanese and another in accounting. Currently, She is serving the MBAA as VP of Professional Development. She is also the president of Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA).
