Applications Accepted Soon
The Graduate School will soon be accepting applications for the two-year Tech MBA Online program beginning in fall of 2010.
Today's professionals balance many needs from work and home. Finding time to earn an MBA can be challenging. Our program is designed to work with your schedule, not around it. Earning an MBA from Michigan Tech's School of Business and Economics bridges the fields of technology and business to meet the needs of a global and technologically rich society.
Merging Technology and Business
Our cohorted MBA program provides students working in technical areas with a solid foundation in the fundamental business disciplines and covers topics such as organizational behavior, marketing, accounting, managerial economics, finance, operations and quality management, information systems, business strategy, and international management. In addition, we offer opportunities to learn how to manage technology and innovation and understand how to manage financially sound but sustainable organizations. Professional development, communication skills, and networking are included in our Intellectual Entrepreneurship Seminars, a requirement of the MBA program. Three residencies serve as program anchors. Your first residency at Michigan Tech provides you with strategic perspective and valuable connections. In the mid-program residency at Michigan Tech, you'll tackle challenging coursework and reinforce collaboration and communication skills with your cohort. At the end of your program, the international residency will build your global business competency.
Take Your MBA Classes From Anywhere
Our online, accredited curriculum makes it easy to take courses from anywhere there is an Internet connection. We have faculty available to support your learning, answer questions, and facilitate group discussions through video conferencing. Our instructional technologist is also on hand to assist you with any technical issues. The Tech MBA Online will be conducted through Blackboard, an online course management system. In addition to Blackboard, the Tech MBA Online program also has three required residencies; two on the Michigan Tech campus and one at an international location.
