Kristen Therrian (President)

Kristen completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She has held internships with the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center, as well as Ingham County Family Court. She has held a management position as Loss Prevention Specialist with Lowe’s Co. in the past and wants to further expand her management skills by pursuing the Michigan Tech MBA. She plans to graduate in December 2015 and wants to hold a position as a Human Resources manager with a reputable company. In her free time, she loves to spend time with family and friends. She also loves to take part in the activities offered in the Upper Peninsula such as golfing, kayaking, and skiing. 

Natasha Chopp (VP of Finance)

Natasha Chopp finished her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management, in 2006 from Michigan Technological University. She worked a few years before starting the MBA program in the summer of 2013. Currently, Natasha works full-time at Michigan Technological University as the Research Development and Marketing Manager in the Vice President for Research Department. She plans to finish the program in the summer of 2015 and remain at Michigan Tech. By completing the MBA, it will further expand and enhance her skills and help her professional career grow. When she does have free time, she enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Mason McGrew (VP of Facilities)

Mason McGrew hails from Houghton, Michigan and just recently graduated from Michigan Tech with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in historical studies. He was a member of MTU’s Applied Portfolio Management Program and is quite experienced with handling financial securities. He plans to graduate from the MBA program in August of 2015. Mason currently works as a mentor for first-year students at Michigan tech. His hobbies include: long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and writing poetry.

Siddharth Jadhav (Secretary)

Siddharth Jadhav is an electrical engineer with four years of hands on corporate experience in engineering management. He started his career as a trainee engineer in a 2.1 billion dollar Kirloskar group. He has worked as a project management engineer, and has had the privilege to commission 16 pumping projects. Siddharth has also worked as a system engineer in the design and estimation department. During the final year of his engineering degree, he created a prototype of a hybrid vehicle which he presented to the Energy Minister of the state. Siddharth has also played professional soccer and hockey at the state level in India. His hobbies are playing soccer, hockey, and reading books.


Katy Hickey (VP of Professional Development) 

Katy Hickey finished her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering in the Spring of 2013; wrapping up her German Language Minor in the fall when she started the MBA program here at Michigan Tech. Currently, Katy is a Technical Sales Representative at ThermoAnalytics, Inc., located in Calumet. She hopes that this mix of a technical background and business knowledge will prime her for a strong career in project engineering or engineering project management. Completing an MBA at Michigan Tech allows her to continue having adventures in this gorgeous area. She enjoys mountain biking, camping, hiking, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and fishing (any season).


Chris Hatton (VP of Social Planning)

Christopher has a passion for learning. With a background in economics and public policy, Christopher has come to Michigan Tech to learn the ways of business administration in this technological age. Christopher has aspirations to study the results that occur when the government and industry interact. Christopher has experience working in the public sector as he has had interaction with government officials concerning routine ordinance. He also enjoys monitoring the stock market, keeping up to date on the latest non-partisan political happenings, reading the Wall Street Journal, and playing brain games. Christopher also has become an entrepreneur by venturing into selling vinyl records online.

Brian Hutzler (VP of Communications)

Brian has lived and worked in the local area for several years. He decided that the MBA program at Michigan Tech would afford him further career opportunities. Brian would possibly like to pursue a career in marketing, sales, or project management.  He is particularly interested in disruptive innovation, and would like to focus on ways that companies might better market and evaluate products. Currently, he works for information technology at Michigan Tech as the outreach coordinator. Other than school, Brian loves to spend time with his beautiful family. He also enjoys playing hockey in the winter and playing soccer in the summer. He is extremely grateful for the experience he is gaining at Michigan Tech.
