- Our Tech MBA is ranked as one of the Top 100 MBA Programs Worldwide for significant leadership in integrating social, environmental and ethical issues into our program.
- Students in our Applied Portfolio Management Program won the 2007 and 2008 annual RISE national stock investment competition in the value category.
- The School of Business and Economics is the only school to offer the Business Development Experience for degrees in accounting, finance, management, operations and systems management, management information systems, and marketing.
- Students who graduated in 2008 from the School of Business and Economics with their Bachelors' Degree had a 98 percent placement rate.
- Our students donate their time to help students and low-income community members file their income taxes each spring through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
- In 2008, the Michigan Tech American Marketing Association Student Chapter won two international awards.
- IBM sponsors IT Oxygen, a School of Business and Economics student-run Enterprise that focuses on developing the next generation of information technology tools.
- The School of Business and Economics is home to Michigan Tech's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CenTILE).
- Three School of Business and Economics students are working with the Smartzone Business Accelerator to further develop and market a mattress designed to increase the efficiency of CPR on hospital patients.
