Julie Fream graduated from Michigan Tech with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1987. She began her career at Visteon in 1998 and previously worked for General Motors, Ford Motor Company and TRW. From 2008 to 2011 she was vice president of Visteon’s North American customer group, global strategy, and communications. Recently, Fream was appointed president and chief executive officer of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), representing new vehicle product suppliers across North America. In 2002, Fream appeared on Crain’s Detroit Business’s “40 under 40” list for her sales leadership at Visteon. In 2005, she earned the Anti-Defamation League’s Woman of Achievement Award for fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment at Visteon. Fream is a member of the University’s Distinguished Academy of Chemical Engineering. She received Michigan Tech’s Outstanding Young Alumni and Outstanding Service Awards and was the featured speaker at Midyear Commencement in 2003.
