Auxiliary Services employs staff from all three unions represented at Michigan Tech (UAW, AFSCME, and POA), as well as non-represented staff. Temporary or Seasonal Employees
Many of our departments hire temporary or seasonal employees at various times throughout the year. If you are interested in temporary employment opportunities in any of our departments, please contact the department directly to inquire about potential opportunities. Applications for temporary employment across campus are available on the Human Resources website.
Some of our departments rely on volunteers to help provide quality service to faculty, staff, students, and the surrounding community. The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts, for instance, uses volunteers as ushers during performances. If you are interested in volunteering at the Rozsa Center, or any of our other departments, please contact the department directly.

The Merchandising department includes both the Campus Bookstore and University Images. The stores employ staff and students, and occasionally hire temporary employees.
Mont Ripley Ski Hill
Seasonal employment and volunteer opportunities at the Mont Ripley Ski Hill include working as a ski instructor, working in the chalet, or helping out on the hill. Or, you can volunteer with the Mont Ripley Ski Patrol.
Emergency Medical Services
HERCULES First Responders is a volunteer group through Public Safety and Police Services. The group is comprised of student volunteers who received special training and certification, in order to provide support to the local area's ambulance service.
