HOP (PG for some mild rude humor): A waste of time in the dark with crunching, sipping, tweeting, up & down the aisles running kids who might indiscriminately enjoy the cuteness and remarkably animated furry critters intruded into a silly movie with live actors as they get embroiled in a plot that deviates little from other cutsie holiday flicks.
Easter is coming up, but not without a fight to manage and maintain it. Easter Bunny (voice of Russell Brand) (who defecates jelly beans when he's frightened) must not only fight to be the bunny in charge, but has to face one obstacle after another, including living with a perpetual slacker (James Marsden in one of his least satisfying roles) and an impending mutiny in the massive candy factory that supplies the holiday goodies. Tim Hill has problems with both script and direction of the live actors. The visuals are nice, but not enough to pay for the 90-minutes of suffering through the rest. (Grade: D).
