GET HIM TO THE GREEK (R for all the usual things that made Jud Apatow infamous): Lucky for me, the theatre was locked down - no explanation - so I was freed from having to sit reluctantly through this.
From one complimentary critic: "As has often been the case with the Apatow-produced comedies, this one doesn't quite know when to end, and it runs out of steam before it's over. But it has enough bursts of hilarity sprinkled throughout it to be worth seeing, particularly if you enjoy ribald tales of rock 'n' roll excess," including excessive drug use, all scat, vulgarities & anything else not necessary to make a good comedy.
As another said, "I love comedies that are intelligent, surprising, meandering & soulful. None of which are present in any of the Apatow films."
Sit through the 110-minutes at your own psychic & moral risk.
