Homecoming 2011 Recap
More than 100 Michigan Tech alumni and friends from all over the country gathered on campus October 7-8 for Alumni Homecoming 2011. On Friday, alumni soaked in the unseasonably warm temperatures while cheering students on at the cardboard boat races and enjoying the chili served by the Alumni Association.
Saturday morning’s Alumni Broomball Invitational preliminary rounds brought out competitive spirits and big appetites that were satisfied at the VIP football tailgate catered by the Library Restaurant and Brew Pub.
The weekend’s events were capped off with a skybox at the Saturday night hockey game directly followed by the 3rd Annual Alumni Broomball Invitational championship game. Over 200 fans cheered on the student and alumni teams as they battled for the Alumni Cup. We’re happy to report that the alumni team, D-Gel Dynasty (2009 winner) has reclaimed the Cup!
